Acclaimed multi-instrumentalist John Holden announced the release of his much anticipated solo album, Capture Light, on March 23rd 2018.

A captivating journey through the mystical and historical, Capture Light was over two years in the making and is an accessible, melodic tour-de-force that reveals more of its hidden depths with each listen, the content of each of the impressive eight tracks being very much song-driven.

Holden says, “I am very proud of how it has turned out. I am now excited to see what other fans of progressive music will make of it, The music and the subject matter is quite diverse but every element had to earn its place. There is no extraneous noodling here!” he goes on to add, “It has certainly been a journey of discovery! Composing all the music, learning to play new instruments, studying engineering and production techniques and attempting to make the best music I could.”

John has also managed to attract some top musicians to play on the album, guests include; Billy Sherwood, Oliver Wakeman, That Joe Payne, Gary O’Toole, Jean Pageau, Oliver Day, Peter Jones, Max Read, Emily Dolan Davies, and Marc Atkinson.

Talking about his stellar support Holden said, “I have been fortunate to have some incredibly talented people work with me on the songs. Everyone made a great contribution and that has really enhanced the music.”
