Doris Brendel & That Joe Payne: Double Headline Tour

Dearest followers,

Doris Brendel (Fish Backing Vocalist) and I are finally ready to announce that we will be joining forces for a mini-tour in the UK next year, sharing a stage with our bands for a double-headline show.

For me, this will be my first official tour since leaving The Enid in 2016, and for Doris a rare chance to deliver a full set after a year of supporting Fish and Wishbone Ash. The pair of us will be showcasing our latest solo material.

The tour was originally planned as a double-headline show for myself and Kim Seviour. With the dates being leaked just weeks ago, the official announcement was held off due to uncertainty over Kim’s health which has since led her to her choice to no longer be involved with the events.

I totally understand Kim’s reasons for dropping out of the tour. I’ve been there myself in the past, and sometimes we have to put our health first. I wish her all the best in her recovery and apologise to any of our fans who have been confused by the change of plan.

The unexpected outcome of this is that I now get to share a stage with Doris, and I’m absolutely delighted to be working alongside another artist who prides herself on visually ambitious performances, as well as her fantastically eclectic catalogue of progressive-pop-rock tunes.

Event Dates

Underbelly, Hoxton – LONDON – Sat 16th March 2019

Exchange – BRISTOL – Sun 31st March 2019

The Robin 2, Bilston – WOLVERHAMPTON – Sun 14th April 2019

Remember, I've also been announced as supporting Marillion with one of my acoustic sets at their sold-out Netherlands Weekend on Saturday 23rd March.

I'll also be performing at Winter’s End Festival on Sunday 7th April alongside Hayley Griffiths as the guest vocalists for ZIO, a new project founded by ex-Karnataka drummer, Jimmy Pallagrosi.
