'D!ck-Potato' - Single Launch in London, 10th June 2025!
To all lovers of love,
As a Queer artist, I am feeling an increasing sense of responsibility to my LGBTQ+ community to speak out against all the hate I'm seeing in the world. So, I have decided to make my message clear, largely through my music and imagery, that I stand firmly with my gay and trans friends and family, both nationally and internationally.
I recently saw Trump using the pink triangle in his anti-DEI rhetoric, and I was disgusted. So, now I’m gonna use it to make very clear that I am PRO Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. This symbol was reclaimed by us in the 70s as a symbol of Pride, and we all need reminding that it should not be used hatefully to shame people for what makes them different. This is why I've chosen to incorporate it into my logo for my new poster artwork.
I’m sick of reading statements online, from other artists in the scene, saying they 'choose to stay out of politics', and 'music shouldn’t be divisive'. F*** THAT! To those artists, I say this: We’re already at war with fascism, so it’s time to check your privilege and pick a side. You have LGBTQ+ people - emphasis on the T - in your community who you are letting down right now by not using your platform to demonstrate your support. FYI, staying neutral in this political climate is not a statement, it’s just cowardly. Show everyone you're an ally. Use your voice. Be loud. Be proud.
'D!ck-Potato' Single Launch
On Tuesday 10th June 2025 I will be bringing my new show to London, launching a new single: D!ck-Potato!
What does it mean? Well, obviously, the title is a play on words, but if you don’t get it, I’m sure someone will explain it to you… ;) Oh, and ironically, the song actually has nothing to do with phalluses or spuds, even if they do happen to be two of my greatest passions.
I am absolutely delighted to tell you that we will also have support from my good friend, Luke Warm, the Drag King who appeared as the MC in my Live the Dream music video (watch it again, here).
